Adult Learn-to-Row
Are you new to rowing and want to get in a boat? You're in the right place! NORC offers group lessons each spring, summer, and fall. We also offer private lessons on an as-available basis.
*Note: Participants must be able to swim 100 yards in any style and float for five minutes unassisted. Due to equipment weight limitations, participants must be under 240 pounds.
National Learn to Row Day: FULL
When: June 7th starting 9am
Cost: FREE
What: Select an hour, 9am, 10am, 11am, or 12pm to learn the basics and get out on the water! Wear athletic clothing & socks that can get wet, bring sunscreen and water.
Adult Group Classes
You will learn the basics of rowing, including both sculling (2-oared rowing) and sweep rowing (1-oared rowing) during these classes. At the end of the course you will be ready to join NORC’s Masters team as a recreational or competitive rower.
Spring: COMPLETE
Summer: FULL
When: July 10th & 11th 5:30-7:30pm, July 12th &13th 9:30-11:30am, July 14 5:30-7:30pm
Cost: $150
What: Five days to learn how to move a boat and get on your way to becoming a recreational or competitive rower.
